The New York Times has offered a thoughtful and insightful commentary on a new television series, Push Girls, which focuses on five women with disabilities as they pursue their ambitions in Los Angeles.

The series, which airs on Sundance Channel in the United States, has potential for increasing the visibility of people with disabilities without resorting to tokenism, but risks distracting from the real issues surrounding employment, economic and physical health which are statistically major difficulties for this demographic.
