The staff here were wonderful about getting me in and settled and making me comfortable. I love it here.

This afternoon will see the grand opening of the Family Centre on Hansen Avenue in Kitchener, which will house many of the Independent Living Centre of Waterloo Region's partner agencies including Family and Children's Services, KidsAbility and Alliance for Children and Youth.
Family Centre co-ordinator Cameron Dearlove describes the 60,000 square foot centre not as a service hub or community centre, but as a "Community of Interest." Certainly, these services will be of great interest to the community, and the Independent Living Centre of Waterloo Region extends a warm welcome and congratulations to Family Centre staff!
