Who Feels Like Dancing?

Developed from a pilot project, Jill Simpson has pioneered an inclusive dance movement within Waterloo Region.  Her program, ‘Dancing with disAbility’, welcomes anyone who is interested in exploring dance, no matter what your movement abilities are.  Jill says, “People can do amazing things by thinking about movement in a different way.”  You may be surprised by what you can gain from adding some dance into your life!  Jill is passionate about facilitating an environment which focuses on our capabilities and the ways in which our bodies are wonderful.

Becky Hadaway, a participant of Dancing with disAbility, shared that since starting the program; she has noticed her ability to keep rhythm with music has returned.  Becky didn’t think dance was something she would be able to do, and she enjoys being part of a dance group with people who have similar movement limitations.  Becky says, “It’s nice to be in a group where you’re not expected to be perfect.”

At $5/class and multiple class options, this programs gets the thumbs up.
