Waterloo Regional Council is making accessibility a major priority on Grand River Transit (GRT) buses by fast-tracking the introduction of electronic stop announcements for visually impaired passengers.

The acceleration toward making this service available on GRT vehicles means that the entire fleet will have automated stop announcements by 2012 instead of 2014.
