KIDS
ON THE BLOCK is a disability awareness
program which provides an opportunity for children to learn about
various disabilities and ask questions they might be afraid to ask
someone they meet in public. The goal is to teach children that
everyone is different; we all have unique challenges and abilities
- and that's okay - in fact, it's what makes us special.
These 45 minute performances, offered to children
in schools, churches and community groups, are most effective with
group sizes of up to 75 people. We generally target children ages
8-11, but have received positive response for specific topics for
younger children. Individual shows may vary according to the topics
chosen, and at the discretion of the coordinator.
