Help Send The Youth Group To Camp

The Youth in Transition program meets weekly to enjoy recreational and educational activities that help prepare them for life as an independent adult. ILCWR, also offers a weekend-long summer retreat for participants to get offsite, away from the city and have some fun. Weekend activities include preparing meals, baking, exercising, crafts, team-building activities and more. Attendant services are available to all this who require support to attend and this retreat is FREE to all group members.

What the youth say about this event:

~“This has been the highlight of my summer. I’ve been unwell for months. This was a wonderful break, I feel refreshed.”

~"I had a BLAST!"

What parents say about this event:

~"My daughter has been attending the Youth In Transition program for a couple of years now and has grown socially, emotionally stronger and most of all become more independent.”

~“As parents and caregivers, we are exhausted on all fronts-physically, emotionally and mentally…our entire family definitely benefits from the YIT Retreat weekends. They give a boost tour daughter’s independence and gives us, her parents, a much needed break. They re-energize our exhausted family and help us to keep on moving forward.”

For 11 participants and 3 staff to attend this weekend, we need to raise $4500.00. We are thrilled to announce that the May Court Club has very generously given $3000 towards the event.
